RN511 stair edging (nosing) comprises a PVC-u channel in a wide choice of colours with a choice of insert material, and is 60mm on the tread and 35mm on the riser to meet the guidance in BS 8300-2:2018.

It is a square, single channel profile with a 4mm gauge, and is ideal for use with carpet or resilient flooring with bevelled underlay in heavy use areas.

When selecting RN511 it is recommended that channel and insert colours are matched to provide a single solid band of colour that contrasts with the surrounding floorcovering and defines the step edge, in line with BS 8300-2:2018 and ADM 2010 guidelines.

RN511 is also available in the XT design, featuring an extended insert that continues around the leading edge of the stair edging to ensure that contact is always made with the slip-resistant element of the stair edging - click here for details.
