Esplanade 8500 Matting - 18mm Open Construction - Double Wiper

Gradus Esplanade 8500 primary entrance barrier mat is constructed from rubber wipers and aluminium scraper linking strips which are held together with galvanised steel wires.

This option of Esplanade 8500 primary barrier mat is 18mm thick and features an open construction with double wipers which are available Plain for external use (scraper action only) or interwoven with polyester fibres in a choice of Grey or Black.

The aluminium scraper linking strips are anodised for use in internal environments to help reduce glare/strobing in brightly lit areas and are available in a silver anodised finish for use with grey wipers and black or a choice of bronze finishes for use with either black or grey wipers. The scraper linking strips for use with plain wipers are mill finished aluminium.

The double wiper configuration offers high dirt and moisture removal whilst the open construction incorporates spaces allowing dirt and moisture to fall through in to the matwell below.  The mat can be lifted intermittently to remove the debris as well as for deep cleaning the mat itself.

Esplanade 8500 when specified correctly is ideal for use in airports, railway stations, supermarkets and sports stadia. (Note: black and bronze anodised finish suitable for medium foot and wheeled traffic areas only).

Mats featuring the mill finish or silver anodised linking strips are suitable for heavy foot and wheeled traffic (tested to withstand a weight of 150kg per wheel) and are offered with a 10 year warranty.

Mats featuring the black or bronze anodised linking strips are suitable for medium foot and wheeled traffic (tested to withstand a weight of 100kg per wheel) and are offered with a 7 year warranty.

Weight testing is undertaken to a minimum of 30,000 passes and warranties are subject to terms and conditions.

Esplanade 8500 has also been tested for flammability (BSEN 13501-1 Class Cfl-s2) and slip-resistance (HLS ramp test - low risk of slip).

When installed as a true rectangle or square, Esplanade 8500 can be reversed to extend the life of the mat. It can also be manufactured to most shapes on approval of a template.
