DDA1 stair edging (nosing) comprises a PVC-u channel in a wide range of colours with a choice of insert material. It can be used in conjunction with floorcoverings from all major manufacturers and is suitable for all commercial applications.

This square, single channel profile features a 55mm tread and 55mm riser to meet the guidance in Approved Document M and BS 8300-2:2018, with a 4mm gauge ideal for use with carpet, LVT or resilient flooring with bevelled underlay in heavy use areas.

When selecting DDA1 it is recommended that channel and insert colours are matched to provide a single solid band of colour that contrasts with the surrounding floorcovering and defines the step edge, in line with BS 8300-2:2018 and ADM 2010 guidelines.

DDA1 is also available in the XT design, featuring an insert that extends around the entire leading edge of the profile to ensure that contact is always made with the slip-resistant element of the stair edging - click here for details
