Tyreguard Matting - 12mm Open Construction - Single Wiper
Gradus Tyreguard primary barrier matting is an ideal choice where the use of recycled materials is a key consideration.
Tyreguard is manufactured from aluminium scrapers and 100% recycled rubber wipers, held together with galvanised steel wires. Entirely manufactured from used aeroplane tyres, the grey wipers consist of alternate layers of textile and rubber.
This option of Tyreguard is 12mm thick and features single wipers in an open construction. The single wiper option offers medium moisture and dirt removal whilst the open construction incorporates spaces which allow dirt and debris to fall through the mat into the matwell below. The mat can be lifted intermittently to remove the dirt and debris as well as for deep cleaning the mat itself.
Tyreguard is suitable for use in applications subject to heavy foot and wheeled traffic e.g. supermarkets, airports, sports stadia and railway stations. It has been tested to withstand a weight of 150kg per wheel (600kg over 4 wheels) to a minimum of 30,000 passes. It has also been tested for slip-resistance (HSL ramp test) and achieves a low risk of slip.
When installed as a true rectangle or square, Tyreguard can be reversed to extend the life of the product. It can also be manufactured to most shapes subject to approval of a template.
Tyreguard has a 10 year warranty (subject to terms and conditions) and is available on the Gradus 5 day manufacturing service.
For a complete barrier matting system, Tyreguard can be used in conjunction with the Boulevard range of secondary barrier matting.

Note: Wipers are made from 100% recycled material from aeroplane tyres, of which at least 50% is vulcanised rubber with the remainder being textile material. Due to the recycled content of Tyreguard there will be natural inconsistencies in the pile height and in the width and shading of the wipers. Some of these variations should become less apparent once the product has been installed for a period of time.
