TA42/TAXT42

TA42 is an aluminium side trim with a flexible gauge of 6, 8 & 10mm. It is used in conjunction with stair edgings to form a neat and attractive edge around the open end of a step by concealing the edge of the floorcovering and stair edging.

It is fixed using PVC-u TC1 fixing clips that are removed once the adhesive used in installation has cured.

The TC1 clip is adjustable to allow the profile to be positioned to provide an upstand of 6mm, 8mm or 10mm on the tread or riser. The profile features three grooves at the different heights and the clip is positioned in one of these grooves using two clips per tread, and one per riser. The side trim is then fixed using proprietary cartridge adhesive. When this has cured the clip is removed. Different clip positions can be used on the tread and the riser to allow for the combined thickness of the floorcovering and riser of the stair edging.

TA42 can be supplied as pre-welded corners or in lengths of 2.75m.

TA42 can also be supplied as TAXT42 - a pre-formed welded corner with a 10mm radius to complement the curved edge design of the XT Aluminium stair edgings.

TA42 & TAXT42 welded corners are available stocked in 83° and 90° (size 355mm tread and 355mm riser) . All other angles are non-stocked (78° to 90°) and are supplied 380mm on the tread and 254mm on the riser - left or right hand requirements should be stated at time of order.
