Gradus Enhances Cinema-Goer Experience at Everyman Belsize Park

Leisure sector lighting specialist Gradus has showcased an illuminating design solution at the newly-renovated Everyman Belsize Park Cinema.
 
Everyman Belsize Park is one of four London-based cinemas owned by the Everyman Media Group and was the first to be given a luxury facelift as part of the Group’s expansion plans.  Everyman Cinemas are known for quality and style, offering a premium cinema experience whereby cinema-goers are treated to ‘at seat’ service.

As part of the project to renovate the 129-seat, one-screen cinema, Gradus supplied its innovative LED step lighting and row indicators to create a striking visual effect and aid wayfinding.

Gradus’ PVC stair edgings with a white continuous light were used to help customers identify changes in level, inhibiting reflection or glare whilst providing a stylish linear design feature.  The use of slip resistant inserts also ensured a safe environment for cinema-goers by reducing the risk of slips and trips on stairs.

Using low voltage LED technology, Gradus Continuity step lighting features a fibre optic rod, which offers a consistent light effect up to fifteen metres whilst also reducing energy costs.
Completing the lighting scheme, white alphabetical row indicators were fitted to the aisle chairs to help cinema-goers safely locate their seats. The indicators are also available in a numerical or graphic format and in a range of colours.
