GRADUS ROLLS UP WITH MURASPEC
The Gradus Group, leading contract interior specialists, has set up a strategic partnership with Muraspec, Europe’s principle manufacturer of commercial wallcoverings to strengthen its product and service offering.
The sales and marketing alliance will see Gradus’ dedicated healthcare and education UK sales force handling Muraspec’s portfolio of wallcoverings from September 2004 onwards. The agreement will allow specifiers and contractors to select carpets, flooring accessories, fabrics and wallcoverings from one source, offering a superior one-stop solution for interior design requirements.
The partnership with Muraspec follows a number of strategic alliances by Gradus in recent years to extend its flexibility and meet ever-changing market demands. Commenting on the new alliance, Steve Watt, managing director of the Gradus Group said: “We’re always looking for complementary companies to work with and the Muraspec alliance has offered a perfect platform from which to build on for the future. Specifiers respect Gradus and Muraspec individually and taking it forward, we can offer a combined package of extended knowledge and expertise to take the risk out of interior design specification”.
Gradus offers a broad product portfolio ranging from carpets and upholstery and soft furnishing fabrics through to core flooring accessories, entrance matting, wall protection and step and aisle lighting. The addition of Muraspec’s commercial wallcovering offering will create further depth for all specifiers and contractors. Muraspec has recently launched the Muraselector, a system set to revolutionise the way wallcoverings are chosen by replacing the traditional binder system with an easy to navigate CD-Rom based sampling system.
The Muraselector system can enable healthcare and education specifiers or flooring contractors looking for wallcovering options, to browse Muraspec’s entire range on a computer screen. Supported by textural samples and linking wallcoverings to achievable in-room effects in an instant, Muraselector is a tool project designers and contractors alike should utilise.
Concluding, Muraspec’s sales and marketing director, Chris Williams said: “Muraspec is delighted to be working closely with Gradus, a company with whom we share many synergies. From the perspective of the healthcare or education sector specifier, this agreement is particularly beneficial as it allows them to select wallcoverings, carpets, lighting, fabrics and flooring accessories from one point of contact”.
