Gradus Launches New Wall Protection CPD Seminar
Approved by the RIBA, the new CPD seminar entitled: ‘The Specification and Design Considerations of Wall, Corner & Door Protection Systems’ is divided into three main sections, ‘Why?’ ‘Where?’ and ‘How?’, using smaller subsections to provide details regarding the importance of making the correct wall protection specification.
The seminar incorporates the latest legislation and best practice guidelines affecting building products specification, including The Building Regulations 2000 Approved Document M and BS8300:2009+A1:2010, to help specifiers meet the guidance contained in the Equality Act 2010.
Detailed isometric drawings of healthcare, education and commercial sectors help to clearly identify where products should be specified and how the specification requirements can change between different areas of the same sector. The CPD also raises awareness on the type of products available on the market to suit any environment, as well as bespoke options that are available, giving designers the freedom to create custom made designs.
Chloe Taylor, Wall Protection Product Manager for Gradus, says: “The new wall protection CPD seminar focuses on aiding architects and contractors to make informed decisions when it comes to specifying the correct wall protection system.”
“Subjects covered include how to aid safe circulation and improve accessibility for all users by using colour contrast to visually highlight protruding elements and door furniture, how to reduce damage caused by impact/abrasion and how to reduce maintenance costs of a building whilst enhancing aesthetics and design.”
