Gradus Takes To The Floor With Specialist Trims

Gradus Accessories has provided expansion joint covers from its specialist floor trim range for the historic Spa Bridlington in Yorkshire, helping to create a safe and stylish environment for visitors to the renowned entertainment venue.

Re-opened in 2008, The Spa Bridlington, an East Riding of Yorkshire Council building, is the flagship project in the £15.5 million Bridlington Regeneration Strategy. The refurbished landmark has retained its classic 1930s ballroom and Edwardian theatre, whilst introducing state-of-the-art technology and modern new facilities. The sizeable venue will host a variety of drama, music, dance and comedy performances, as well as offering rooms for conferences, exhibitions and weddings, which provide stunning views of the Bridlington coast.

Gradus stainless steel expansion joint covers were installed around the dance floor in the main Royal Hall, which holds concert audiences of nearly 4,000 people. Designed to provide a bridge to cover expansion joints, the profile protects the hall’s flooring and offers a neat finish whilst allowing for linear expansion and movement caused by heat and moisture.

Providing a smooth transition between different floorcoverings to create a tidy, safe surface, the covers are available in three different widths and are supplied with self-adhesive for quick installation or without, for screw fixing.
