GRADUS FABRICS RECEIVE BCFA ACCREDITATION FOR PRODUCT EXCELLENCE

Contract interiors specialist Gradus has achieved accreditation from the British Contract Furnishing Association (BCFA) for two of its newest fabrics collections, by demonstrating excellence in design, performance and manufacturing.

Dedicated to encouraging best practice amongst manufacturers and service providers within the contract furnishings sector, the BCFA Product Accreditation Scheme rewards products that meet the relevant requirements relating to research, design creativity, development and engineering, as well as manufacturing standards, performance and pre and after-sales service.

The Finesse and Serenity fabrics collections from Gradus, launched in 2006 and 2007 respectively, have both achieved BCFA accreditation, providing assurance to specifiers and designers of the fabrics’ quality and distinguishing them from similar products on the market.

With the healthcare market changing and the growth of private care homes driving up the standards of interior design to the levels more associated with hotel environments, the Finesse range was developed to offer high standards of creativity for fabrics that are nevertheless still functional and easy-care. A new Trevira-branded textured base cloth was developed specifically for the range and the combination of classical imagery and contemporary colours proved an instant success

The Serenity range was developed for the hospitality market and was inspired by the latest hotel trends for clean lines and neutral palettes, providing designers with the option of co-ordinating prints and weaves that can be used with other products from the Gradus range. The multi-purpose weaves, engineered to meet the performance requirements for both upholstery and soft furnishings, provide greater design flexibility as well as quality and safety assurance. Both Finesse and Serenity have seen Gradus extend its fabrics offering from its traditional easy-care NHS products to encompass a more design-led, higher-end market.
