Gradus Carpets have been fitted throughout the site office at Chadkirk Business Park in Romiley, Cheshire, as part of a total refurbishment of the unit to turn a car repair garage into a modern reception area and offices.

Gradus Sahara carpet tile was specified to carpet 2,500 square foot of office space, including six open plan offices for high court enforcement and property companies as well as the reception area, which now plays host to the business park’s site office for the other forty-eight businesses on the estate. The project involved refurbishment into contemporary offices, which included insulating the space, plastering and painting the walls, adding carpets and fully fitting the building with office furniture and equipment.

Mike Adams from Mike Adams Floorcoverings specified and installed Gradus Sahara carpet in Palm Green, a grass green shade with darker green flecks, which was specifically selected to coordinate with the corporate design scheme. Each office within the estate boasts a modern cream exterior with green framings, so it was fitting to choose a colour from the range to complement this.

Choosing a tile format also offered the business park several benefits throughout the installation process. Carpet tile is considerably easier to lay compared with broadloom, offering speed of installation to contractor. In addition, significantly less disruption is caused because the carpet can be fitted section by section, all of which contributes to significant savings on labour time and costs.
