Gradus Launches Bespoke Fabrics with New Creations Collection
Click on image to enlargeContract fabrics specialist Gradus has launched Creations, an innovative digital print concept using a unique linen-look base cloth, helping designers and specifiers to create bespoke fabric designs.
Creations by Gradus offers over 1900 colour variations in 6 standard monochrome patterns, as well as the opportunity to develop individual designs that can also incorporate company branding, logos and unique motifs. All options can be printed in relatively low volumes, making them ideal for small or exclusive projects, as well as larger commissions requiring phased completion.
Creations features the launch of Lisbon, a brand new 100% Trevira CS base cloth, with a twisted polyester yarn to cleverly provide the random and attractive appearance of linen. In addition the coarser weave construction, which gives the effect of natural fibres, meets the relevant British Standards, making it ideal for hospitality, healthcare and education applications.
Using cutting edge digital print technology, the standard service allows customers to create their own colour combinations on a variety of fabric designs. These include Selema and Palmares, patterned with leaf-motifs; co-ordinates Benamor and Alamos, which feature combinations of stripes and leaves; Lagos, featuring large circles and vertical waves; and Laguna, a vertical wavy lined pattern.
Karen Burman, Designer for Gradus, comments: “Creations is an original product that offers true design, colour and volume flexibility when compared with conventional transfer printing, so is ideal for specifiers working on smaller projects such as boutique hotels, where an individual look is needed for a small space. The versatile base cloth can also be used in healthcare and education applications, and is particularly useful where phased development prevents large quantities of fabric being ordered at any one time.”
Fully washable, the Trevira CS print base meets the requirements under British Standard BS5867 Part II Type C.
