“Hi, I’m Dan Bowen, and I am a Specification Area Sales Manager for the South.”
What do you like about your role and the sectors you work in?
“I truly enjoy the dynamic nature of my role—no two days are ever the same, and there’s always a new challenge to tackle. With nearly six years in the industry, I’ve witnessed significant changes in product selection and installation methods. I find it rewarding to guide a project from inception to completion, helping customers with their specifications, identifying their needs, and proposing solutions that deliver real value—all while ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.”
What challenges are driving many businesses today in the markets you work in?
“The fast-paced nature of our industry presents numerous challenges, especially as project timelines and expectations become increasingly demanding. As trusted manufacturers, it’s crucial for us to address these challenges head-on. The merger of Gerflor and Gradus allows us to better support our customers with comprehensive solutions for both new builds and refurbishments, catering to a wide range of applications and sectors.”
What are your favourite Gradus and Gerflor solutions and why?
“I’m a big fan of Gradus Esplanade Primary Matting, known for its exceptional quality and durability. This matting not only protects and extends the life of the flooring but is also essential for any project focused on safety and hygiene. Additionally, I love specifying GTI Max Connect products. They are fast-track solutions that are easy to install and incredibly versatile, making them a huge advantage for refurbishments where time is critical.”
What do you like doing in your spare time?
“In my spare time, I love getting outdoors with my family and making the most of our weekends. A big passion of mine is visiting bike parks with my son, where we aim to learn new skills while having fun! I’m also a huge car enthusiast and recently treated myself to an open-top sports car, which I enjoy driving, especially on sunny days while taking in the beautiful scenery of the countryside.”
