Gradus stair edgings are offered in three ranges: XT, Elite and Traditional. A choice of materials and four profile designs are available to accommodate most step shapes. A choice of gauges is offered to suit most floorcoverings, whilst single, double or multiple channel options are available dependent on traffic levels and conditions.

The Gradus XT range of stair edgings (stair nosings) offers the ultimate solution in reducing slips, trips and falls on stairs and has been developed in line with the latest legislation and guidelines such as Approved Document M (ADM) of The Building Regulations 2010, BS 8300-2:20018 and research from BRE (Building Research Establishment).

  • Aluminium or PVC-u Hardnose channels
  • Choice of slip-resistant inserts for interior dry and interior wet conditions
  • Insert extends around the leading edge of the stair edging to ensure that foot contact is always made with the slip-resistant element of the stair edging
  • PVC-u Hardnose channels can be selected with a matching insert colour to provide a single, solid band of colour that contrasts with the surrounding floorcovering to define the step edge
  • For use with resilient flooring, carpets and hard flooring such as ceramics, stone and marble

The Gradus Elite range of stair edgings (stair nosings) offers a concealed fixing and eliminates the need for screw head cover plugs.

  • Aluminium or bronze channels
  • Slip-resistant insert for interior dry conditions, available in 17 standard colours
  • For use in conjunction with floorcoverings from all major manufacturers
  • Suitable for all commercial applications.

The Gradus Traditional range of stair edgings (stair nosings) includes factory bonded inserts that are supplied with capping plugs to conceal the screw heads after fixing for a neat finish.

  • Aluminium, chrome, bronze and PVC-u Hardnose (satin or metallic finish) channels
  • Choice of slip-resistant inserts for interior dry, interior wet and exterior conditions
  • PVC-u Hardnose channels can be selected with a matching insert colour to provide a single, solid band of colour that contrasts with the surrounding floorcovering to define the step edge

Trans-Edge range

Gradus Trans-Edge is a heavy-duty range of stair edgings (stair nosings) suitable for external or internal use. Typical applications include motorway foot bridges, railway stations, airport terminals, sports stadia and heavy industry.

  • Aluminium channels
  • Extremely durable, slip-resistant inserts that are designed to withstand harsh exterior environments
  • For use on most substrates including concrete, terrazzo and metal
