Gradus offers a comprehensive range of stair edgings (or stair nosings) that are designed for safety, performance and aesthetics:

  • Step edge definition – clear identification of individual steps using a stair edging that contrasts with the colour of the floorcovering
  • Slip-resistance – all Gradus stair edging inserts provide slip-resistance at the step edge to reduce the risk of slips on stairs
  • Protect the floorcovering - prevent wear and tear of floorcoverings at the step edge, which can result in a trip hazard
  • Staircase design – available in a wide range of colours, stair edgings can be used to complement the interior design whilst side trims provide a neat and attractive finish by concealing the floorcovering and stair edging

Gradus offers an extensive range of floor trims that are designed for safety, performance and aesthetics:

  • Safe and smooth transition – prevent trip hazards when moving between different types and heights of floorcovering
  • Protect the floorcovering – prevent wear and tear of floorcovering edges, which can result in a trip hazard
  • Design flexibility – profiles are available that can be curved on-site to reduce the requirement for pre-fabricated curves
  • Neat finishing – conceal floorcovering edges for a neat finish

Gradus offers an extensive range of pvc and metal skirtings, capping strips and cove formers that are designed for safety, performance and aesthetics:

  • Definition of the floor and wall – used to define where the floor ends and the wall begins by using a colour that contrasts with both surfaces or matching the skirting colour to the wall
  • Hygienic – skirtings can be welded to the floorcovering for an impervious join whilst some profiles are available in 25m coils to reduce the number of vertical joints
  • Neat finishing – hide imperfections and floor-to-wall expansion gaps whilst metal profiles are available with a cable tidy feature for low voltage cables
  • Room design – available in a wide range of colours, pvc skirtings can be used for colour-coded way-finding whilst metal profiles offer a hi-tech, modern finish

Gradus offers a wide range of barrier matting systems to suit all contract applications. Matting is often under specified or the wrong type is installed, resulting in a system that does not perform as the buyer intended.

Correctly specified, Gradus matting will be effective in providing a better working environment for employees and more pleasant environment for visitors by:

  • Reducing the risk of slip accidents – with 90% of slip accidents in public buildings caused by wet flooring, adequate amounts of matting can help prevent moisture being tracked into and around a building
  • Improving the appearance of internal floorcoverings – by removing and retaining dirt and moisture, matting will reduce damage to internal floorcoverings and prevent unnecessary replacements

Gradus offers a range of extra low voltage decorative LED lighting products primarily for use in the leisure sector in environments such as cinemas and cruise ships, where light is required for safety but should not detract from the performance. The systems can also be used where non-intrusive lighting is required such as in lecture theatres and museums.

  • LED step lighting – PVC-u and aluminium stair edgings
  • LED aisle and floor lighting – PVC-u and aluminium floor trims for cable management and illumination
