The new user-friendly matting catalogue has been increased to 48 pages and contains full product information for Gradus’ extensive matting portfolio.

As well as new, striking photography, the new catalogue includes helpful advice and product recommendations, enabling the end user to select the right matting system for specific areas.

The catalogue shows where primary and secondary Gradus matting can be used in different areas of a building at risk of soiling and heavy wear, using a ‘zonal’ illustration. In addition, each range is illustrated using an installation photograph, accompanied by details on profile availability, colour range and Light Reflectance Values (LRVs).

The catalogue also includes updated cleaning and maintenance guidelines, including recommended cleaning products, following work with Selden Research to extensively test Gradus matting products.

There is also a detailed ‘Specification Guidelines’ section, looking at how to specify matting based on the findings of the Health & Safety Laboratory (HSL) and Entrance Flooring Systems Association (EFSA) study. This section also details main points relating to entrance matting from The Building Regulations 2000 Approved Document M, BS7953:1999 and BS8300:2009+A1:2010, with supporting advice and recommendations from Gradus.

Rachael Robertson, Matting Product Manager for Gradus, said: “Barrier matting systems help to reduce slip accidents caused by wet floors and maintain the aesthetics of surrounding floorcoverings by reducing the amount of dirt and moisture tracked in from foot and wheeled traffic. This in turn, reduces maintenance costs and prolongs the life of the surrounding floorcoverings.

“Our new matting catalogue contains comprehensive advice and information on each of our matting ranges. It also includes information on Gradus’ new heavy duty Esplanade 8000 primary mat, ideal for interior and exterior environments where there’s a lot of heavy wheeled and pedestrian traffic, which will be available in the autumn.”
